Yasaka scissors are one of the oldest and most well known Japanese scissor producers. Yasaka scissors are made of special blade-tools stainless steel produced from Swedish Sponge Iron. This iron is made with iron ore containing an extremely small amount of impurities. The resulting steel has a low impurity content, exceptional tenacity and viscosity, excellent resistance to wear and is rustproof. Yasaka scissors feature "clam shaped" blades which have been sharpened using a method unique to Yasaka.
